Many fitness apps recommend walking 10,000 steps daily. I usually reach about 6,000–7,000 steps because of my office job. Is 10,000 steps a medical requirement, or can fewer steps still improve my health?
The 10,000-step goal is a popular target but isn’t a strict medical requirement. Even increasing your daily activity from your current level can provide health benefits. Consistency and reducing sedentary time matter more than reaching an exact number every day.
