In my own practice, practicing yoga during the Leo Full Moon can be a powerful way to release, express, and renew my emotions, self-expression and spirituality.

When it comes time to practice yoga during a Leo Full Moon Ritual, the following are the top 10 yoga poses I practice.

Top 10 Yoga Poses I Practice During a Leo Full Moon Ritual.

1. The sun salutations (Surya Namaskar).

I like to start my Leo Full Moon practice with Sun Salutations as they wake my body and ignite my inner fire. I find this flowing sequence to be where I feel more alive, grounded, and mentally ready for the ritual that is to follow.

2. Warrior 2 (Virabhadrasana II).

Warrior II makes me feel powerful, confident and emotionally strong. Each time I assume this position, I remind myself to have courage, determination, and to trust myself completely. It is a reminder to me to stand in my own power.

3. Camel Pose (Ustrasana).

One of my favourite heart openers with a Leo Full Moon is Camel Pose. Helps release emotional tension and opens chest and heart center. It always makes me feel better after I do it.

4. Lion’s Pose (Simhasana).

This is a symbolic pose for a Leo Full Moon ritual. In Lion’s Pose, I’m able to get rid of stress, self-doubt and the emotional weight. It’s empowering and it’s fun; I love it.

5. The pose of the Dancing Lion (Natarajasana).

This posture is a balancing one that brings me into connection with creativity, grace and focus. I find myself feeling more balanced and centered, more balanced and emotional, when I do this pose.

6. This is a Crescent Moon Pose (Anjaneyasana).

This position opens up the chest and hips and provides a lovely stretch to the front body. When I do my Full Moon ritual it helps me to be more open emotionally and spiritually.

7. Setu Bandhasana or Bridge Pose.

I really like adding this pose as it opens my heart center and strengthens my back. During the ritual it helps me to feel emotionally uplifted and energized.

8. Tree Pose (Vrikshasana).

Tree Pose is a pose that makes me feel grounded and stable emotionally. This pose is a balancing position to help me connect to my calmness and inner focus when feeling overwhelmed by Full Moon energy.

9. Child’s Pose (Balasana).

Child’s Pose is a good asana during the Full Moon to help me to slow down and tune in with my breath when I am seeing a lot of emotion. It is restorative and relaxing.

10. Savasana.

If I ever do a Leo Full Moon ritual I always finish with Savasana as it lets me soak up the energy of the practice and the energy of the Leo Full Moon. In this posture I get into a state of gratitude, stillness and establish intentions for the next part of my life.
