Top 10 Benefits of Triphala.

1 Supports Healthy Digestion.

The first thing I experienced was a better digestion after consuming Triphala. The Ayurvedic herbal formula functions through boosting digestive enzyme creation, better assimilation of nutrients and also a regular defecation.(1),(2)

2 Potent Antioxidant.

I also learnt of the immense antioxidants present in Triphala which aid in combating free radicals and oxidative stress in the body. It also may have an anti-inflammatory effect and promote good health.

1 Nausea.

People can get nausea in some cases after consuming Triphala either because of its taste or adaptation to the herb in the body. I found that, at times, eating with it helped decrease this feeling.

Because of its natural laxative properties, excess use of Triphala or over a longer period of time might lead to diarrhea.

3 Stomach Upset.

I found that, in some sensitive people, taking Triphala on an empty stomach will cause stomach cramps or discomfort.

  • I add 1 tsp of Triphala powder to 1 cup water.
  • I allowed the mixture to sit for ~ 5 minutes.
  • Then I stir it well, so it will dissolve.
  • Typically, I take it 1x a day, empty stomach.
  • Occasionally I put honey or lemon juice in to make it taste better.
  • I like taking it at night before bed with digestive support, as well as using it to support my cells.
