I wanted to try the simple AHA 30% + BHA 2% peeling solution since it was launched, because the publicity around it has just gone crazy! Everyone has gone crazy about how this super affordable double acid peel makes their skin healthier, brighter and I personally had to see if all the propaganda was justified. So, today in this article I will be telling you about Ordinary AHA BHA Peel Spot Treatment.
Okay, before explaining, first let me clear that it’s called a peeling solution because it peels off the nasty microscopic particles. Besides, it’s not at all like your any other peel-off face mask.
Alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) are mild substances that produce mild peels. They can be used as additional exfoliating treatments for some of facials, or as a series of treatments to exfoliate numb, damaged skin, reduce fine lines, clear breakouts, and increase your complexion.
What is Alpha Hydroxy Acid Peel?
Alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) are naturally derived from sugars, fruits and milk. It contains lactic acid from milk, glycolic acid from sugarcane, Malic acid from pears and apples and citric acid from oranges and lemons.
AHA peels are more effective to remove dead cells from the skin surface, thus smoothing and rejuvenating the skin. AHA peel is often called mild peel and is one of the lightest peels.
If one does not have time to recover, but still wants to remove dry, dull-looking skin, then the gentle touch of a combination of glycolic, lactic and fruit acids would be the right choice. This peel can be used as an additional exfoliating treatment in various facials or as a series of treatments.
What is Beta Hydroxy Acid Peel?
Salicylic acid is a natural chemical extracted from willow bark, wintergreen leaves and sweet birch bark. It also assists in the release of surface cells, especially the cells lining the oily tubules. Beta Hydroxy Acid Peel works on open blackheads by loosening the plug, and peeling the rim of the pore and expose more for removal. It often uses salicylic peels during the facials for acnes because it helps in exfoliation as well as inflammation of acne.
The amount of exfoliation depends on the strength of the product and other ingredients. In addition, it can take several applications of any AHA or BHA treatment before achieving the desired result. According to studies conducted at Ohio State University and Massachusetts General Hospital, regular use of AHA products can also result in a smoother, more toned color.
Generally, AHA-BHA peeling solution is beneficial to treat acne scars, as well as dull and lifeless skin. Well, it can be a game-changer step in your skincare ritual if you do it.
But the ordinary AHA BHA Peel is very strong and has some serious peeling power, so while it works for me, this peel is not for everyone. Find out how ordinary AHA BHA Peel works, how to use it, what you shouldn’t use with this peel and how it works for me.
What Does The Ordinary Peeling Solution Do? What Are The Main Ingredients?
Alpha-Hydroxy acid (AHA): Simple AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling solution consists of four different types of AHA: glycolic acid, lactic acid, tartaric acid and citric acid.
This AHA cocktail adds to make your skin shine, soften and smooth to create a big 30% of the acid content – that’s a lot. By removing dead skin cells from the surface, AHA effectively reduces UV damage and dark spots that can appear on the skin after too much time spent in the sun without a good cap or broad-spectrum SPF. AHA also reduces fine lines and wrinkles.
Beta-Hydroxy Acid (BHA) To Open Pores And Fight Off Spots.
The usual AHA 30% + BHA 2% peeling solution has BHA salicylic acid – possibly my most preferred acid! why? Salicylic acid is great for getting deep into the pores and removing all the oil, bacteria and germs that cause stains, blackheads, whiteheads, and enlarged pores.
If you have oily or blemish-prone skin, it is highly recommend using a good salicylic acid toner and add it to your regular skin care routine. Like AHA, salicylic acid also removes dead skin cells for a lubricating, bright effect.
Ingredients Included To Reduce Irritation.
Since ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% is potentially disturbed due to the super high acid content, Tasmanian pepperberries, black carrots, vitamin B5 and hyaluronic acid have been incorporated into the ingredients to reduce redness and burning ability.
Who Should Not Use The Ordinary AHA BHA Peeling Solution?
Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% peeling solution is not for newbies in any way. The high acid content makes it close in strength to a chemical peel that is usually administered by a professional.
Please do not use this facial peel if;
You have sensitive skin or get irritated easily when you use chemical products.
If you have cracked or broken skin as this peel will burn like hell.
You’ve never used acid in your skin care routine.
Must consult your doctor before using any high-dose acid skin care products if you are pregnant or breastfeeding women.
If you’re taking Tretinoin this peel can cause more irritation and dryness.
You think it’s a good idea to use a facial brush and exfoliate scrub several times a week – it’s not. This peel will further irritate your skin.
How Often Can You Use A Ordinary AHA BHA Peeling Solution?
It is recommended that you should not use this peel more than twice per week for 10 minutes at a time. When first starting with this peel, I recommend using it only once per week to determine how your skin reacts to it first. I also recommend doing a patch test to determine if you have any adverse or allergic reactions to it.
Skin Care Material To Avoid Using With Ordinary AHA BHA Peels.
Since it has a high acid content with an exfoliation that is quite intense for the skin, I would recommend avoiding any product which contains vitamin C, retinol, or other acids after applying this peel to avoid further irritation. Always use products that are gentle and later promote skin healing and soothing.
How To Safely Apply The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution.
At first wash your face, dry it completely and then apply the peel calmly to your entire face using your fingers, staying away from the eye area and your lips. You only need a few drops of peel for your entire face.
I’ll also avoid putting this peel on active breakouts and pimples where the skin is broken, because it will sting like hell and possibly make the issue worse. The peeling solution will start to dry a little and will feel a little difficult on the skin.
If you are using first time, thereafter wait 3-5 minutes and rinse it with warm water. If you don’t have an adverse reaction, leave it for a while next time and then wash your face.
Do not keep this peel for more than 10 minutes – the longer you leave a chemical peel, the more layers of skin cells you destroy. You don’t want to remove more than the top layers.
When And How Often To Use Ordinary AHA BHA Peel Spot Treatment?
Always apply simple AHA 30% + BHA 2% peeling solution at night. Acid exfoliation, even in low doses, will always make your skin more prone to sun damage as it is removing a layer of dead skin and revealing the fresh skin below.
Always use a broad-spectrum SPF when going out in broad daylight, especially after an intense facial peel.
It is advisable to use this peeling solution not more than twice a week. When first starting with this peel, I recommend using it only once per week to determine how your skin reacts to it first.
I also recommend doing a patch test to determine if you have any adverse or allergic reactions to it. Listen to your skin and reduce the use if you experience redness that doesn’t go away within an hour or excessive peeling.
When Should You Avoid Using Simple AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution?
If you apply this peeling solution and cause pain or severe discomfort. Experience irritation then remove it immediately. You may have to consider that this peel isn’t for you. You should also avoid using this peel if you have any existing skin irritation.
What Can You Expect During And After The Peel?
The peeling solution itself is a gorgeous, beet red liquid. It becomes tingling after it is applied and will color your skin pink. After washing the peel, you can expect your skin to turn a little pink. If you feel burning sensation on your skin, or become painful red, this peel is probably not for you. Your skin always makes the baby feel softer and look brighter after the peeling.
What To Put On Your Skin After Using Ordinary AHA BHA Peel Spot Treatment?
I prefer to rehydrate my skin after any chemical peel and use only soothing, non-irritating products. This means there is no retinol or vitamin C after my peel. I also try to avoid products containing fragrances, alcohol or menthol in them, which can also cause irritation. You may apply hydrating toner after removing the peel.
Finally, I’m using the usual natural moisturizing factors cream to help heal and regenerate the skin. And then, you’ll need to apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen to protect your skin during the day.
Can You Use Other Acids With Normal AHA BHA Peel Spot Treatment?
Never combine other acids when you use simple AHA BHA peels during the same application. If you have more sensitive skin then you must wait a day or longer before using the exfoliant, while others may use a mild exfoliant the next day. Everyone has different sensation of skin, so listen to your skin.
What Happens If You Use Simple AHA BHA Peel Spot Treatment Every Day?
This peel is meant to remove dead skin cells on the surface of your skin and is quite strong and effective in doing so. If you were to use this peel every day you may experience signs of irritation and over-exfoliation such as redness, flaking skin, rugged skin texture and even scarring. Please don’t use this peel everyday, it’s actually quite effective when used only once or twice a week.
Simple AHA Bha Peeling Solution Results.
Honestly, the simple AHA 30% + BHA 2% peeling solution or peel spot treatment has greatly improved the smoothness and overall texture of the skin. However, it also effective in several skin issues like enlarged pores, fine lines and rough texture in some areas etc.
After each use, I immediately feel how soft and smooth my skin is. My overall color is bright and my pores are small too. Even better, I noticed after the first 3-4 uses that my texture had improved remarkably. My skin just felt even more, brighter and healthier and my blackheads began to fade.
Bottom Line.
The combination of AHA (alpha-hydroxy acid) and BHA (Beta-hydroxy acid) peel spot treatment helps to wipe out dead skin cells that clog pores which cause skin infections. All you have to do is apply this on a clean face, leave it for a while and then wash it off. It’s in concentrated form and thus needs to be applied on skin with utmost care.
The pros I experience include minimal pores, fewer blackheads, smoother, more even skin, less flaky skin in my problem areas, a healthy glow, less noticeable fine lines and textures and all for a super cheap price.
In addition to my retinol products, simple AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution is the only other product that has made such quick and drastic improvements to the tone and texture of my skin. If you are an experienced user of acid exfoliants and you don’t have any of the conditions mentioned earlier in the post, I highly recommend going to this peeling solution. It can only change your life.
